Bernard has more than 40 years’ experience in the environmental field. He is a Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) (EAPASA Reg. 2012/3903)
Bernard boasts over four decades of extensive experience in the environmental sector. His career began in 1983 when he joined the Department of Forestry as an Indigenous Forest Planner. Over the course of the next 14 years, he climbed the ranks, eventually serving as the Manager of the Table Mountain Reserve with the Cape Town City Council. Subsequently, Bernard transitioned to Cape Nature Conservation (CNC), where he led the Conservation Planning Section and later assumed the role of District Manager for the Boland area, overseeing significant regions such as Hawequas (Paarl), Hottentots Holland (Grabouw), Hermanus, and Kogelberg (Kleinmond).
In his capacity as a Regional Ecologist, Bernard played a pivotal role in coordinating, managing, and providing scientific insights for Provincial Nature Reserves and Mountain Catchment areas in the Boland, Overberg, and West Coast regions. During the final four years of his government service, he specialized in assessing and evaluating Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports for development applications, representing CNC (now DEA&DP) and contributing valuable environmental perspectives.
Since concluding his tenure in the public sector in 1997, Bernard has dedicated his expertise to environmental consulting in the private sector. Since founding EnviroAfrica in 1997, he has been actively involved in a diverse array of projects, serving as an Environmental Assessment Practitioner (EAP) and Project Leader. His portfolio includes notable ventures in Renewable Energy, Dams, Pipelines, Water Treatment Plants, Telecommunication Masts, Cemeteries, Resorts, Housing, and Environmental Control (ECO). Bernard’s multifaceted experience reflects a profound commitment to sustainable environmental practices and a proven track record in delivering high-quality services.

Clinton Geyser is a Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) (EAPASA Reg. 2012/3287) and a Green Star SA Accredited Professional.
Clinton has a BSc. Earth Sciences, Majors in Geology and Geography and Environmental Management and a MSc. Geography and Environmental Management from the University of Johannesburg (formerly RAU).
After completing his studies, he worked for over five years in the tourism and conservation management field, having worked as a field guide in the Waterberg and Greater Kruger National Park areas, and in the Okavango Delta of Botswana as a lodge manager.
He has been with EnviroAfrica for over twelve years and has over fourteen years’ experience in the environmental management field as an Environmental Assessment Practitioner and as an Environmental Control Officer. He has worked on a variety of projects in the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape, and Free State, including:
- Renewable Energy projects (solar farms)
- Civil engineering infrastructure such as pipelines, Waste Water Treatment Works, and roads
- Agricultural developments, including reservoirs and dams

Maboee is an experienced environmentalist with a MSc. Botany (Plant Ecology), BSc Honours Botany and a general BSc.
He has worked as a consultant at EnviroAfrica since March 2022, assisting with public participation for environmental assessment applications and the compilation of inter alia, environmental assessment reports, Environmental Management Programme Reports (“EMPr”), environmental due diligence reports, environmental feasibility study reports.
In 2008 until 2021, Maboee worked for the Western Cape Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning on inter alia, reviewing EIA applications, Waste Management Licence applications, EMPr, environmental audit reports, environmental due diligence reports, conducting environmental compliance inspections and writing up environmental inspection reports, providing formal comment on environmental applications submitted to other State Departments and providing formal comment on regulatory environmental and planning instruments to municipalities and other Organs of State.

Lian Roos has a BSc Hons (App Sci) Water Utilisation and BSc Environmental Science from the University of Pretoria. He is also registered as a Professional Natural Scientist (Environmental Science) with SACNASP and is a member of the Land Rehabilitation Society of South Africa. Zandria Jordaan holds a MSc in Geology from Stellenbosch University, a BSc Hons in Environmental Geology and a BSc Environmental and Biological Sciences, majoring in Geology and Chemistry, from the North-West University. As part of her time at Stellenbosch University and research project, Zandria attended the 2019 SCALE Winter Cruise on the Agulhas II from Cape Town to Antarctica down the Good Hope Line, where she engaged with various scientists, team leaders and project managers around the world. She attended the 5th Annual SANAP symposium in 2018 and was part of APECS (Association of Polar Early Career Scientists) as a National Committee Member. She also attended the 5th annual LaRSSA Conference where she presented her work throughout her Honour’s year.
Zandria has accumulated experience as an Environmental Control Officer, in Environmental Compliance Auditing, Environmental Management, Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) and Environmental Impact Assessments, especially in the Renewable Energy field. She completed an online course: Environmental Assessment Practitioner, Environmental Control Officer, Site Officer and Environmental Auditor from the Environmental Training Academy of South Africa (ETAZA) as well as the ISO14001:2015 – Awareness of Environmental Management (EMS) on Udemy.
Zandria is a Candidate EAP registered with the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) and is a registered member of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIAsa).
